How has your beer drinking changed (ie when you drink, what you drink) over the last few years?

Am less loyal to one 'popular' brand due to disposable income and general market selection. Quality has become more important than quantity (think debauchery of High School days). Whereas beer used to be my staple drink, not only has the overall quantity and regularity decreased, but the ration to beer to other alcohols (wine, cocktails) has also decreased.
Agree, definitely drinking less beer and there seems to be more to choose from now. Often when I'm at the supermarket it takes me a bit to decide as I look around, there's all these specials and I usually choose within 3 or 4 brands. I'm getting more interested in finding different beers now. Ones from different countries, or with interesting labels. My favourite beer used to be Tsing Tao, but they've changed the label now and ruined it. The green bottle and Chinese label ruled!
drink heaps more different brands of beer now. Used to be you drank what everyone else was drinking, but now buy lots of different craft-type beers. like to try different ones, like hoppy, ale, lager, etc
Ok - so I'm one of those people who used to drink until they were unsure what type of alcohol they were drinking, be it beer, wine or water. Consider myself lucky to have even survived these years to where I can now enjoy beer from around the world without resorting to drinking a dozen each time. I actually buy much of my beer from a wine store now. They have a great selection. Yes, I have matured into a boring beer snob.
Im sure most can relate to this, my drinking habbits for years have been lots for as cheap as I can get it. But I have recently developed the skill of drinking to enjoy and not so focussed on the getting boozed bit. I try different beers and tend to settle with my favourites regardless of the price.

Able to enjoy a quiet beer or two rather than drinking to get drunk. Enjoy trying local kiwi beers
